Surrey renovator and new home builder, My House Design/Build/Team, is a group of designers, builders, changemakers and artisans that care deeply about each home, as if it were their own. Well established in the industry and long-time BUILT GREEN® member, My House Design/Build/Team was an early adopter of sustainable building practices. Their projects have certified at BUILT GREEN® Platinum and have gone as high as Net Zero Energy+—the highest level of certification, boasting net zero energy performance, plus meeting the requirements in all sustainable aspects of Built Green’s programs—going back to 2022 and the first Net Zero Energy+ Renovation in Canada. My House believes in sustainable, renewable practices that do as little harm to the environment as possible, while helping people find their living spaces. They’re experts that are continuously learning about innovative solutions that push themselves and the industry forward.

This year, they completed a Platinum-level solar-ready renovation in North Vancouver, which had a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. It included electric vehicle plug ins, a smart home automation system, fire- and impact-resistant materials for greater durability, with Energy Star windows, appliances, and lighting. They also prioritized recycled materials and low-VOC for improved air quality.
