BUILT GREEN® Program Connection This product may help earn points under the following checklist items: 2.2.11 Install ecologically preferred bamboo, cork, or hardwood flooring for a minimum of 300 ft² (or reclaimed is acceptable) (1 point), more than 50% of all indoor floors (2 points) or more than 90% of all indoor floors (3 points). Products must be third-party certified from sustainably managed forests or certified sustainable sources (except reclaimed) (e.g. Rainforest Alliance, FSC, CSA, or SFI). 2.3.15 Install durable flooring (e.g. laminate, finished concrete, tile, hardwood, vinyl planking, etc.) in all high-traffic areas (halls, kitchen, living space) (1 point), more than 30% of all indoor flooring (2 points), more than 60% of all indoor flooring (3 points), or more than 90% of all indoor flooring (4 points). 3.17 All hardwood flooring is factory finished. (1 point) 3.21 All hard surface flooring must be certified as compliant with the FloorScore or GreenGuard standard (or equivalent) by an independent third party. Flooring products covered by FloorScore and GreenGuard include vinyl, linoleum, laminate flooring, wood flooring, ceramic flooring, rubber flooring, wall base, and associated sundries (2 points). 7.4 Provide natural design elements such as: (i) natural finishes (wood, stone) on feature design elements (ex. mantle piece / natural wood floors); or (ii) planted features, such as a living wall / green roof. |
